Time to take Action: East Butler Primary School needs better leadership

The issue

East Butler Primary School should not be just a place where our children go to learn, but somewhere the whole community can feel welcomed and valued.

To achieve this, positive leadership is required from a dedicated principal who can be relied upon to

• Provide and encourage positive direction within the school for both students and parents alike.

• Offer a safe and happy environment free from bullying.

• Endeavour to bring parents and children together not alienate them, which ultimately drives them to leave East Butler Primary.

• Have a friendly and an approachable manner, making parents and children feel welcome.

• Lead the school community in making improvements in required areas instead of ignoring issues raised.

• Encourage a positive engagement between parents, teachers and students.

East Butler Primary School's culture has deteriorated due to the current lack of effective leadership. If it continues we will see the enrolment numbers continue to decline (Ref A). A drop in enrolments results in budget decreases which means the remaining children are disadvantaged in all areas of the curriculum, and we loose our Beautiful teachers.

We need to take a stand as a community!

Calling all current and past parents or carers to take action and show support by raising our concerns with the Education Dept!
