At the schools I have gone to in the past they have always forced me to follow rules such as school uniforms. With females having the standard of wearing a dress or skirt. Males shirts with pants or shorts. In a world where we are trying to teach people to accept everyone I find it repugnant that the people meant to be teaching acceptance are actually the ones judging us as we walk through the door even before what we have to say based on our school uniform.

I feel that with school uniforms people aren't allowed to express themselves as if they would be able to if there was no uniforms. School is a lot about socializing and learning. When you get to school you should feel free to express yourself without being enclosed into uniforms.

In places where there are no school uniforms students are able to show who they are with their outfits instead of words. Most schools that have uniforms have students that don't feel accepted because of the uniforms. By being able to wear your clothing of choice it can help a student show who they are in a way where they are comfortable to.
