Denys Arcand is one of the greatest directors in Canadian history.  Universally recognized in Quebec and the rest of Canada as one of its leading talents, Arcand has directed several critically acclaimed masterpieces and box office smashes. Two of his films, Jesus of Montreal and the Barbarian Invasions were nominated in the Best Foreign Film category at the Academy Awards.  Profound, philosophical and ground-breaking, each of his films is a revelation in its own right.  Not surprisingly, several of his movies are top sellers on blu ray, including the Decline of the American Empire, the Barbarian Invasions, Days of Darkness and Fall of the American Empire. Despite all of this, one of his greatest masterworks, Jesus of Montreal has never been released on blu ray. In fact, the only version available is a sub-par pan-and-scan DVD.
