The Issue

Ashley Vincent was my little sister. Her brutal murder has irreparably shattered our family's lives. She was only 14 years old when Lamon McKoy brutally raped and strangled her, abandoning her lifeless body behind a dumpster. We had a heart-wrenching three months of searching and praying for her return after she was reported missing on December 29, 2003. It was only on March 2, 2004, that our worst fears were confirmed when her body was discovered.

Lamon McKoy’s actions did not stop with Ashley. He has a history of violence and brutality; he also took the life of his own cousin and has been involved in choking and sexually assaulting other girls. Four known victims have suffered horrific consequences due to his actions. These aren't statistics; these are destroyed lives of young women and grieving families.

In February 2026, McKoy is up for parole again, and we must stand united in Geneva, NY, to ensure that justice prevails. It is our moral duty to protect the community and prevent the potential for further tragedies. Granting parole to someone with such a violent history poses a real risk to public safety.

We witnessed the horror once; we cannot allow it to happen again. The scars left by Lamon McKoy’s actions are deep, and allowing him the freedom to menace society again is unacceptable.

I urge the parole board to consider the severity of his actions and the lasting impact on victims' families. Let's come together and make our voices heard.

By signing this petition, you are contributing to a safer community and honoring the memory of Ashley and all of Lamon McKoy’s victims. Stand with us in this fight for justice. Sign this petition to keep Lamon McKoy behind bars, where he belongs. Together, we can make a difference.
