Deny IVF Access to Convicted Murderers in Victorian Prisons

Deny IVF Access to Convicted Murderers in Victorian Prisons
The issue
Stop Alicia Schiller having IVF in Prison.
As a woman who has lived the trauma of an attack that rendered me unable to experience motherhood, I am stepping up to voice my outrage towards a policy that not just permits, but financially supports the right of a convicted murderer to access IVF treatment. Victoria's Criminal Justice System extends the liberty to a woman serving a sixteen year sentence for murder, facilitating her to step out of the prison premises to access IVF services, with the plan of raising the conceived child within the prison premises for their initial five years at the expense of Victorian tax payers.
It breaks my heart to think that the woman who robbed a mother of her life and children of their nurturer, (to steal $50), is knowingly granted a privilege that she surrendered when she chose to take a life. I'm conflicted by the fact that, through my taxes, our government is justifying and validating this abomination, when there are countless deserving women and couples struggling to afford the expensive IVF treatments.
Motherhood is a sacred responsibility, a privilege that elevates a woman's position within society. It is a blessing that shouldn't be bestowed upon individuals who show no respect for life and family. This is not just my plea, but a sentiment shared by multiple Australian citizens, and we hope our leaders will stand firm in reflecting our perspectives.
I urge you to sign this petition, to initiate a reconsideration of policies offering IVF privileges to convicted incarcerated criminals, and ensure that enhancement of life can never be viewed as a reward for taking life.
