Deny Bail to the Remaining 7 of the Victorville 8 for Public Safety

The Issue

I am a resident of LA County, CA, and I have personally witnessed the terror inflicted by the group known as "Victorville 8". The remaining seven members of this group are currently seeking bail. They have live-streamed their crimes, harassing and intimidating people in their own homes. This behavior is not only disturbing but also poses a potential threat for future intimidation of witnesses and victims.

The actions of these individuals pose a significant risk to our community's safety. According to data from the Bureau of Justice Statistics, about one-third (34%) of defendants released before trial were arrested for new crimes. Given that these individuals have shown no remorse or change in behavior - even going so far as to broadcast their actions - it is reasonable to fear they may continue this pattern if released.

We cannot allow those who intimidate and harass innocent citizens in their homes walk free while awaiting trial. We must prioritize public safety over granting bail rights to those who pose an evident threat.

I urge you all, especially residents of La County and San Bernardino County, CA, USA: stand with me in demanding that our justice system deny bail for these seven individuals until they face trial for their actions. Please sign this petition today! To keep them in jail:

Edin Alex Enamorado, 36, of Upland
Wendy Lujan, 40, of Upland
David Chavez, 28, of Riverside
Stephanie Amesquita, 33, of San Bernardino
Edwin Pena, 26, of Los Angeles
Fernando Lopez, 44, of Los Angeles
Vanessa Carrasco, 40, of Ontario
