Build an adequate habitat for your Polar Bear

The Issue

On May 12th, 2015, my girlfriend and I visited the Denver Zoo, in Denver, Colorado.

First of all the Zoo is far too small to accommodate the number of people who visit the zoo every day -- we had to park 2mi. away, and we got to the zoo 15min after it opened -- much less accommodate the wildlife that are imprisoned at the Denver Zoo.

While I witnessed several other animals in minor to moderate distress; it was the polar bear's distress that resonated with me over the last several weeks.

I locked eyes with the polar bear for about 10 minutes. It felt as if I had left my body entirely for those 10 minutes, because the bear's distress was so overwhelming, that I nearly broke down in tears.

These majestic animals are not accustomed to live in an environment that is so warm.

Therefore, I petition the Denver Zoo to build an adequate habitat for the polar bears. They certainly make enough money from ticket sales to accomplish this.

Build a habitat that belongs in the 21st century, and not the 20th.
