Stop the anti-atomic power propaganda!

The Issue

When it comes to matters concerning nuclear energy, the broadcast news network "Democracy Now!" has largely endorsed the viewpoints of anti-nuclear activists such as Harvey Wasserman, Helen Caldicott, and Karl Grossman. Whenever they have invited a pro-nuclear advocate, such as Greenpeace co-founder Dr. Patrick Moore, they only serve as an obligatory counterpoint to the anti-nuclear opinion. After his appearance on "Democracy Now!" where he debated activist Helen Caldicott, writer for the Guardian George Monbiot published this on his blog:

"Over the past fortnight I’ve made a deeply troubling discovery. The anti-nuclear movement to which I once belonged has misled the world about the impacts of radiation on human health. The claims we have made are ungrounded in science, unsupportable when challenged and wildly wrong. We have done other people, and ourselves, a terrible disservice."*

If "Democracy Now!" is at all concerned with scientific accuracy and journalistic integrity they will remedy this by inviting a person knowledgable in matters concerning nuclear power.
