Can you help amplify survivor voices TONIGHT?
Tonight, survivors and supporters will gather to protest the way Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and former Principal Mark Bosco have mishandled dozens of reports of rape, assault, and harassment, including my own. Can you help amplify our voices right now by emailing the Superintendent of CMS? You can say something like:

I am emailing you because I am appalled by the conclusion of the investigation into former Principal Mark Bosco’s handling of reports of sexual assault and harassment. It is my understanding that investigators did not contact or interview a single victim. How can you call the investigation “lengthy and thorough” when you did not hear from any of the students his negligence affected?
Mark Bosco has no place working with children and should be removed from his new role. CMS must immediately enact policy changes IN COLLABORATION WITH student survivors. Some of these policy changes include better education on Title IX and sexual violence, a trained and dedicated Title IX liaison at every school, and protection for students who exercise their first amendment rights.

In case you missed my last update, Mark Bosco has been reassigned within CMS to the position of Senior Administrator of Expanded Learning and Partnerships. CMS created this entirely new position specifically for him that pays exactly what he made as principal, almost $150,000 a year. This is completely unacceptable, and we can’t stand by while CMS refuses to hold him accountable.
