As someone deeply concerned about the ongoing conflict in Palestine, I am appalled by Zara's use of photography that appears to trivialize the atrocities carried out by Israel on Palestine. This is not just a matter of taste or artistic freedom; it's about respecting human rights and acknowledging the suffering of millions.

Zara, a global fashion brand with influence over millions of consumers worldwide, should be promoting peace and understanding rather than using controversial imagery that many perceive as making light of serious human rights violations. The photographer Tim Walker and stylist Ludivine Poiblanc are responsible for these images, which have caused outrage among many who stand against genocide.

According to Human Rights Watch, Israeli authorities are committing crimes against humanity in the occupied Palestinian territories (source: HRW report 2021). This is not an issue to be taken lightly or used as inspiration for a fashion campaign.
