Ephemeral Rift, a popular YouTuber, has recently been involved in a controversy involving racial slurs and anti-Semitic rhetoric on Twitter. His subsequent apology was deemed insufficient by many, failing to address the concerns raised by marginalized groups affected by his comments. We believe that such behavior is unacceptable and goes against the community guidelines of YouTube which clearly state that hate speech is not allowed (source: YouTube's Community Guidelines). In 2019 alone, YouTube removed over 100,000 videos and 17,000 channels for violating their hate speech policies (source: Google Transparency Report). We request that YouTube conducts a thorough review of Ephemeral Rift's actions to determine if he should continue to qualify for advertising on their platform.
