Demand YouTube remove Jimmy Bullard’s platform

The Issue

Following the events of the I'm a Celebrity... South Africa final in April 2026, it has become clear that Jimmy Bullard’s behavior—which included documented verbal abuse, intimidation, and severe harassment of fellow contestants—is incompatible with the safety standards of modern digital platforms. This situation strikes a personal chord with me, as it raises serious concerns about the integrity and safety of environments both online and offline, where such behavior should not be tolerated.

Despite repeated attempts to draw attention to these severe allegations, YouTube has yet to take action. According to YouTube’s Creator Responsibility Policy, off-platform behavior that harms the community or brings the platform into disrepute is grounds for removal. Jimmy Bullard’s actions not only violate these guidelines but also send a dangerous message to the platform's millions of users by seemingly condoning harassment.

Recent studies have shown that digital platforms have a profound impact on community behavior. Stanford University, in a 2025 report, highlighted how unchecked harassment can lead to a significant decrease in user trust and a sharp rise in cyberbullying cases. Platforms like YouTube, which boast billions of users worldwide, have a responsibility to set the standard for conduct and ensure a safe and respectful environment for all.

What Bullard has reportedly done can't be swept under the rug. Failure to act now will only perpetuate a cycle of abuse and degradation of the supportive community YouTube promises its creators and consumers. Therefore, we demand YouTube prioritize the integrity and safety of its community by removing Jimmy Bullard’s channel.

Join us in urging YouTube to take swift and decisive action. Sign this petition and protect the values that foster a nurturing and respectful digital space.

During the live final and subsequent unbroadcasted incidents, multiple participants (including Sinitta and Gemma Collins) felt compelled to walk off the set due to the aggressive environment. Further reports from campmates like Craig Charles have described the behavior as "deeply traumatic" and "intimidating," citing the use of extreme profanity and physical aggression that had to be "watered down" for television.

Why This Matters to YouTube: YouTube’s Creator Responsibility Policy clearly states that if a creator’s "off-platform behavior" harms the YouTube ecosystem or brings the platform into disrepute, YouTube has the authority to act. Providing a monetized platform to an individual associated with a national bullying scandal sends a dangerous message that harassment and intimidation are acceptable as long as they generate views.

Our Demand: We, the undersigned, represent a collective of tens of thousands of viewers who believe in platform safety and accountability. We call upon YouTube and its CEO, Neal Mohan, to:

Review the "GOLF LIFE" channel under the Creator Responsibility and Harassment policies.
Remove all associations and monetization for individuals who use their public platform to foster environments of intimidation and bullying.
Set a standard that YouTube will not be a "safe haven" for those whose conduct has been deemed "appalling" by the public and fellow industry professionals alike.
We are not just individuals; we are a unified community demanding that digital platforms reflect the safety standards we expect in our society.
