We call on YETI to issue a clear public statement opposing border wall construction in Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park.

YETI has long celebrated the wild beauty, profound isolation, and untamed spirit of Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park in its branding and products. Companies like YETI that build their identity on wild places like these and PROFIT from them should stand up to protect them – or at least not to actively harm them.

Big Bend’s remote desert landscape—with its dramatic canyons, dark skies, and rich biodiversity—is one of America’s last true wilderness frontiers. Yet YETI co-founder Ryan Seiders, who still owns 15% of YETI worth $250 million, is assisting the construction companies there for the singular purpose of building a wall through Big Bend and PROFITING greatly.

A wall will cause severe and largely irreversible threats to the local environment, economy, and community by scarring the landscape, blocking critical wildlife corridors and separating animals from their only water source, deeply harming tourism by restricting access to the Rio Grande, and destroying the very natural beauty YETI has marketed for PROFIT.
