Over the past 10 years, from 2013-2023, a lovely cat named Powell Cat has lived on the campus of UCLA. During their time here at UCLA, Powell Cat has provided joy, created everlasting memories, and developed long-lasting relationships with tens of thousands of students. On March 9th, 2023, heaven gained an angel with paws.

Powell Cat has had a long-standing impact on the community here at UCLA. Thousands of students strongly believe that UCLA should contribute a commemorative statue on UCLA's campus in recognition of Powell Cat's life. Additionally, this would honor the smiles and joys brought to many students and would forever keep Powell Cat's memory alive and a part of UCLA's history
