Demand Ubisoft to Reinstate All User Licenses for "The Crew"

The Issue

As a passionate gamer and advocate for the preservation of digital content, I find it deeply troubling that Ubisoft has revoked user licenses to the video game "The Crew". This action breaks the original sale contract agreed upon by consumers in 2014.

Under the *original* End User License Agreement (EULA) for The Crew, end users are entitled to retain a physical copy or herein of the title they have been sold. Unfortunately, Ubisoft's recent actions in changing the wording contained in this agreement, to this extent of highlighting the change is block capitals. It has shown disregard for the agreement. This has culminated in the company revoking customer access to the title forthwith. It must be noted that the company cannot retract physical property from customers, digital owners should be treated in the same manner. Regardless of online functionality the company should have provisions in place for end of life content

We must hold companies accountable when they break their contracts with consumers. We need your help to ensure that digital content is treated with as much respect as physical property. Irrespective of service shutdowns as previously mentioned by other parties. Reasonable steps should be taken to ensure this media is not lost and to ensure consumers are informed directly of any change to their previously signed agreements.

Please sign this petition and join us in demanding that Ubisoft reinstates all user licenses for "The Crew", respecting our rights as gamers and upholding their obligations under the EULA upon release in 2014.
