I am starting this petition to demand proof the $2,082,580.00 Grant and Elena Cardone raised on the GoFundMe page  “Stand with Trump; Fund the $355M Unjust Judgment” were awarded to the Patriot Legal Defense Fund and used for the purpose as described by Elena on this GFM page.   https://www.gofundme.com/f/stand-with-trump-raise-the-settlement   

This GoFundMe  (1) was organized by Elena Cardone and launched on February 16, 2024, to raise money to help pay for President Trump’s fines in a New York civil lawsuit. The Patriot Legal Defense Fund is listed as the beneficiary.  Both Elena and Grant Cardone shared the GoFundMe link on thier numerous social media platforms where they have a large following. 

🚩On August 21, 2025 a court of appeals ruled these fines excessive, violating the Eighth Amendment of the Constitution and removed them as unconstitutional.  (2)

🚩There has been no update since the ruling and this GoFundMe page is still active and receiving donations. The last donation was made 6 months after the fines were removed by an anonymous donor in February 15, 2026. The total donated is $2,082,580 million dollars. 

🚩There has never been a public announcement by President Trump or his administration regarding the validity of the GoFundMe page and there is no transparency throughout the page or the updates…   

🚩 The update on February 23, 2024 announced a $1MIL milestone reached in donations. It says “We are currently in communication with President Trump's team to ensure that he can and will accept the funds raised”.  This update implies,  ONLY AFTER RAISING $1MIL,  the donations may not be accepted by President Trump.

🚩The update on April 22, 2024 announced a $2MIL milestone reached in donations and states “The funds we have raised together will be delivered to the Patriot Legal Defense Fund and solely used for President Trump’s defense….”.

🚩ProPublica shows no contributions from Grant or Elena Cardone or any of their businesses or foundation, to the Patriot Legal Defense Fund with the exception of one employee from Cardone Enterprise for a $1000 (3). 

🚩In addition,  ProPublica data, based off of IRS filings, show NO EXPENDITURES  to President Trump’s legal counsel Christopher Kise, Alina Habba, or Clifford Robert in the New York civil lawsuit. (4)

🚩The April 22, 2024 update also says  “Please be aware of copycat sites connected to the Patriot Legal Defense Fund and only donate through this GoFundMe.” Essentially directing all donations to the Patriot Legal Defence Fund to this GFM page.

 

Please help by signing and sharing this petition, demand proof the $2M+ in donations were used for the purpose described on the GoFundMe page and were awarded to the Patriot Legal Defense Fund.    Thank you for standing up for truth and transparency.
