Demand Transparency in MNITJAA Election Voting Process

The Issue

Please keep it non political movement only. As an alumnus of MNIT, I am deeply committed to the values and principles that our institution upholds - one of these being transparency. In light of MNITJAA elections year on year, our community, and the values we uphold, are under significant threat. Many members of the MNIT community are feeling left in the dark, unaware of who has voted in the electoral process.

Our proposal is simple: transparency. All MNITians need the details of the voters, including Full Names, Batch (Year), Branch, and Membership No. to be disclosed. This level of transparency is not unprecedented. In fact, Bar Council of India elections, for instance, disclose voter information in a similar manner, to maintain an open and fair electoral process (source: Bar Council of India Election Rules). By adopting similar measures, we could tackle the opacity currently facing the MNITJAA elections. This should be part of MOA/ AOA and to be declared after every election.

Privacy, of course, must always be respected, and methods of anonymity must be put in place to avoid any repercussions that could arise, but a transparent voting panel can create trust amongst the community.

We affirm that as MNITians, we have always stood for truth and fairness. Now more than ever, we need to rally behind these principles. Stand with us, demand transparency in the MNITJAA Election Voting Process. Sign this petition and let MNITians reclaim what is rightfully ours - a transparent, fair, and democratic electoral system.

Once it reaches a decent number will request to Director Sir, Election Officer and Other concerned person to look into the matter.
