My community and I are directly affected by the imminent relocation of the K-2 dual language program from Winston Campus Elementary to Jane Addams for the 2025-26 school year. This decision disturbs the dynamics of our community by separating families into two different schools, negatively impacting our children's education.

The abrupt announcement lacks comprehensive explanations and reasons for the transition, leaving parents and community members in a state of confusion and frustration. We deserve answers as our children's education hangs in the balance. We understand that educational institutions undergo changes for various reasons. One year ago, we just passed a referendum that included parent input and approval. So these changes seem sudden and without warrent. However, taking such a firm decision that directly affects us without seeking our input or giving us a chance to voice our concerns is simply unacceptable.

Furthermore, decision-makers owe it to us, the stakeholders of this program, to create an open forum for discussions. These discussions should answer our questions, allay our fears, and ensure that we fully understand the repercussions of this projected move.

Given this, we demand a full disclosure of the reasons behind the proposed relocation and a detailed plan on how our children's education continuity will be maintained.
