The Issue

I am deeply troubled by the handling of Bryan Kohberger's case by the Moscow Police Department in Idaho. This situation resonates personally with me due to a haunting incident involving my own family, where my father's death was hastily labeled as suicide, yet critical evidence was overlooked, leaving justice unserved. Much in the same vein as Kolberg's case, my father's case exemplifies the discrepancies and injustices that can occur within our legal system.

The arrest and conviction of Bryan Kohberger were largely based on a DNA sample that is described as transferable and far from infallible. Transferable DNA is not blood; it does not irrefutably point to guilt. How could a case be legitimately closed when the evidence presented was, at best, unreliable? The families of Maddie, Kaylee, Xana, and Ethan deserve real justice, not conclusions drawn prematurely or carelessly.

Furthermore, serious concerns have been raised regarding potential violations of Kohberger's civil rights. Allegations of evidence tampering, crime scene contamination, and improper police procedures paint a disturbing picture of misconduct. These grievances have sowed seeds of doubt regarding the authenticity and motives behind the evidence presented in this case.

We are calling upon the Moscow Police Department for full transparency. Release the remaining case files, including audio, video, bodycam footage, and crime scene photos. Allow us to scrutinize the integrity of the criminal justice processes employed with our own eyes. Transparency is the bedrock of trust—without it, we cannot begin to heal these deep wounds.

Additionally, we must demand the reconsideration of Bryan Kohberger's conviction. If due process and procedure have indeed been compromised, an exhortation stands as a necessary step towards justice. We can no longer idly stand by while potentially innocent lives are woven into the net of flawed justice.

This call for action is not just to right potentially specific wrongs, but also to instigate a broader conversation around justice system reforms. Let us come together to demand that justice be served, that truth be told, and that those who needlessly suffered might finally find peace.

Sign this petition today to press for transparency, justice, and a fair process in the Bryan Kohberger case. Your voice matters in the pursuit of a legal system that truly serves its people.
