We are urgently calling for the immediate cessation of operations in "Busy Bees" daycare facility in Mirrabooka, Western Australia due to serious allegations of staff negligence and unsafe circumstances surrounding the children. As concerned citizens, we are appalled by reports of a child being exposed to dangerous materials, having to endure the fright of escaping from the facility unnoticed, and the abandonment of a young child in the centre after hours. These claims of child endangerment, neglect and an unhealthy environment require immediate address. Statistics from the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare indicate that in 2018-19, there were about 16,757 substantiated cases of child abuse and neglect across Australia - this is a crisis that we cannot ignore. We demand a thorough investigation into these allegations and immediate steps to be taken to ensure the wellbeing and safety of the children in our community. We are pleading with the responsible authorities in Western Australia to uphold the children's rights and enforce the necessary laws to keep them safeguarded.
