Attention PBS president and CEO Paula Kerger, NPR president and CEO Katherine Maher, Democratic leaders, the Party for Socialism and Liberation (PSL), school board members, Immigrants, and LGBTQIA+ communities across the country: We demand to take action against the controversial Prager University Foundation known as PragerU, a conservative educational platform promoting pro-American values content founded in 2009 by conservative radio talk show host Dennis Prager and radio producer/screenwriter Allen Estrin, which stands in stark contrast to the inclusive and diverse narratives we strive for in our public institutions. As a firm supporter of Public Schools, Public Broadcasting Service (PBS), and National Public Radio (NPR), I am deeply concerned about the divisive content that PragerU disseminates, content that threatens the very fabric of unity that our educational and media communities work so hard to maintain. PragerU packages an agenda-driven curriculum under the guise of education, often presenting biased information that undermines the objective understanding of history, politics, and social issues. Its approach not only contradicts the educational mandates of including diverse perspectives but also poses a risk to the safe learning environments we uphold for students, especially for those in immigrant and LGBTQIA+ communities. 

Let it be clear! Our public institutions, including schools and media outlets like PBS and NPR, are dedicated to fostering knowledge and understanding. They should not be overshadowed or replaced by platforms that preach narrow ideological views and exclude important voices. PragerU's content often neglects the stories and contributions of marginalized groups, while promoting narratives that can alienate important segments of our society. We urge the leadership of PBS and NPR to reaffirm their commitment to diverse and inclusive content, and to actively engage in educational efforts that counteract misinformation. It's crucial for the well-being of our communities that we support learning environments where every individual feels represented and appreciated.
