demand to know the whereabouts of Fasih Mahmood.
demand to know the whereabouts of Fasih Mahmood.
The Issue
here is email note of Nikhat Parween W/O Mr Fasih Mahmood. shri Mahmood was abducted by Saudi Police accompanied by two officials of the Indian Police.
Dear All
With deep pain, this is to bring to your kind notice that my husband Mr Fasih Mahmood, S/O Dr Firoz Ahmad, R/O Vill. Barh Samaila, PO Lalganj, Block Keoti, Dist. Darbhanga, Bihar, has been working with Eram Engineering Corporation at Al-Khubair in Saudi Arabia since the year 2007. That our marriage took place on September 7, 2011, and I am also residing with my husband there.
That on May 13, 2012, at about 1 pm (Saudi local time), a team of Saudi Arabian police accompanied by two officials of the Indian Police came to our residence at Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia. They informed my husband (in my presence) that they have no complaints against him as such; however, he is required by the Indian police with regard to a case in India, for which these people need to enquire.
Immediately thereafter, they took him along with them. Since then, his whereabouts is not known. In spite of all my best efforts, I could not trace him anywhere. I intimated this fact to my family members, relatives and friends. Feeling helpless being alone there, I returned to India on May 15, 2012.
After coming back to India, we made enquiries in this regard in the Ministry of External Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs but could not get any information from any source.
In fact, the Ministry of Home Affairs has outrightly denied it saying that the matter does not come under its jurisdiction. The Ministry of External Affairs categorically told us that they do not have any information with regard to my missing husband. We had also contacted the Delhi, Bihar and Karnataka police, but all of them denied to have any information regarding the custody of my husband.
That I believe that my husband has been taken into custody with a view to make a fishing enquiry. The entire action against my husband is wholly illegal and unconstitutional.
Therefore, on the basis of the above stated facts and circumstances, I most humbly request you to take immediate and necessary action at the earliest and save the life and liberty of my innocent husband.
Sincerely yours,
(Nikhat Perveen)
