As a 6th grader at TMSA APEX, I am overwhelmed by the amount of work assigned to us, particularly from Ms. Khan. She gives us an excessive amount of IXL assignments in a very short timeframe. This is not just about me; many of my classmates are also struggling with this workload.

IXL is an online learning platform that provides practice skills for students in various subjects. While it can be beneficial, too much reliance on it can lead to burnout and stress among students. According to the American Psychological Association, children who experience high levels of stress may develop long-term health issues like depression and anxiety.

It's crucial that our school understands the impact this is having on us students - both academically and mentally - and takes immediate action to rectify it. We propose that TMSA APEX reduces the number of IXL assignments given to 6th graders, allowing us more time for comprehensive learning rather than rushing through tasks.
