We took loans, expecting to move into our homes and escape rental costs, but now find ourselves paying both rents and EMIs. With the burden of these expenses, our hard-earned money drains away while the builder remains unresponsive about the project's timelines. It is important to highlight that real estate project delays are a significant problem in India, with around 1.74 lakh homes in 220 projects stuck (source: Mint).
