Generative AI creates everything it outputs through theft of willing and unwilling participants. Currently there are little to no protections for creators who do not wish for their face, their voice, or their very lives to become just another piece of the cluster that AIs pull from to better imitate humanity. 

Tik Tok has recently implemented a new "AI Remix" feature which all videos are automatically opted into. This feature does not only affect recently posted or future videos, but every video a user has ever posted. In order to get your videos opted out of AI Remix, a creator must go through every video they have ever posted individually and one by one opt out of it. 

For Tik Tok's most dedicated creators who have hundreds or thousands of videos, this requires hours to painstakingly go through every single one and change the permissions. On top of this, when Tik Tok updates it opts all of a users videos back onto AI Remix, undoing all of the work the creator has done. 

This concern would easily be solved by creating a single toggle in the privacy menu to fully opt out of AI Remix. Creators deserve the right to their face, their voice, and their content. Tik Tok has made it near impossible for a creator to claim ownership of their work,  by making it impractical to try to continuously keep their videos off of AI Remix. 

The end goal of this petition is simple: Allow an easy way to opt out for those who are not comfortable. Anything less than this is a manipulation of the creators who have dedicated years to the platform.
