As parents of students attending Merchiston Preparatory School in Pietermaritzburg, South Africa, we are deeply concerned about the recent suspension of our school's governing body (SGB), led by Mr. Warren Smith. We stand firmly behind their efforts and do not recognize the actions taken against them by Mr. Ngcobo, head of the Department of Education.

Our concerns are further heightened due to ongoing investigations into serious misconduct allegations against Mr. Llewellyn Bragin. We believe that these investigations should be concluded before any further action is taken against our SGB.

The current situation is causing unnecessary stress and disruption to our children's education and their teachers' ability to provide quality instruction. The time taken for this investigation seems unreasonable and is negatively impacting our entire school community.

We demand that the Department of Education withdraws its suspension on our SGB immediately until all allegations have been thoroughly investigated and resolved.

We urge every parent, teacher, student, alumni or anyone who cares about preserving a fair educational environment at Merchiston Preparatory School to sign this petition today! Together we can ensure that justice prevails for our children's future education.
