Many of us have often wondered what stance we would have taken during some of history's darkest moments, such as the Holocaust. Today, we are living in a modern equivalent, witnessing the slow erasure of a people and their culture. It's a test of our humanity and moral fortitude. As citizens of the United States, it's imperative that we reevaluate the actions of our government, which currently lends unwavering support to the Israeli government, an entity that many international human rights organizations have accused of committing acts amounting to ethnic cleansing.

The overwhelming military and economic aid supplied by the U.S. to Israel has significantly bolstered their capabilities, contributing to this humanitarian crisis. Billions of taxpayer dollars are funneled into a regime that continues to expand settlements and employs military force against highly vulnerable populations. According to the Amnesty International and Human Rights Watch, these actions are in direct violation of international law and undermine basic human rights principles.

Therefore, I am calling on all who believe in justice and humanity to demand that our leaders take action. We must petition Congress to reassess and terminate military aid and any form of support that enables these atrocities. By redirecting resources towards humanitarian relief and just peace processes, the U.S can be a catalyst for change rather than a complicit party in this crisis.
