Demand the Termination of the New York Liquidation Bureau for Corruption and Mismanagement
The Issue
Who Protects Claimants When the NYLB Operates Without Accountability or Due process
it is possible that an institution like the New York Liquidation Bureau (NYLB), which manages millions of dollars from failed insurance companies, operates without proper oversight or judicial review? Is it fair that claimants—real victims of accidents and losses—are forced to wait for years while critical decisions are made behind closed doors?
As someone directly affected by the liquidation of an insurer, I am deeply concerned about what appears to be a systematic obstruction of due process. I have personally experienced delays, ignored submissions, and sudden changes in my case with no clear explanation or notification.
The NYLB is not a formal state agency. It does not answer to the public or undergo mandatory audits. So how can we be certain its actions are just? Are we looking at a structure that acts with impunity, while claimants are left with no clear path to justice?
I am not accusing anyone of a crime. But I am raising my voice—as many others would, if they weren’t drowned out by the complexity and silence of the system. Who is watching those who claim to protect us, when it feels like they’ve turned others’ pain into a soulless administrative operation?
The NYLB, or New York Liquidation Bureau, is a state agency responsible for managing the affairs of insolvent insurance companies in New York, meaning they handle the liquidation process of insurance companies that are financially impaired or bankrupt, aiming to distribute remaining assets to policyholders and creditors as per court orders; essentially acting as the receiver for these insolvent insurance companies under the supervision of the New York State Superintendent of Financial Services.
New York Liquidation Bureau is acting worse than the insurance companies holdings and keeping the insurance claims assets while the victims suffer..
As a personal victim of the corruption and mismanagement within the New York Liquidation Bureau, who is a supposed beacon of hope turned house of thieves,
I was injured at 2016. After a bus hit my car, and the at fault part nsurance is being managed by New York Liquidation Bureau since 2020 and it became a testament to my trust being shattered. Rather than receiving the support and fair leverages, I only met with disparity, as I discovered the hard truth: the organization was allegedly distributing the money of injured individuals like myself among its employees in a corrupt management scheme.
New York Liquidation Bureau, which manages the receiverships of insolvent insurance, is turning into an organization damaging the lives of individuals who are already victims. This brazen corruption is not only an affront to the victims like myself who sought help from them, but it also undermines the integrity of our societal justice system, which we are supposed to trust, but in reality, it fails to protect us the resources intended to aid individuals caught in painful situations, like myself, is unjustly funneled into the hands of the corrupt employees who exploit our misfortunes for their benefits.
Ending this cycle of theft and restoring integrity to our justice system necessitates a swift and decisive action: the termination of the New York Liquidation Bureau. By doing so, victims are provided a sense of justice, with the assurance that our tragedies will not be taken advantage of again. Please join me in repeating this demand to end the corruption and mismanagement of the New York Liquidation Bureau. Sign and share this petition today.
