It is deeply concerning as parents and community members when the place our children call a second home, our local Tidwell Middle School, has become a place of fear and discomfort. Numerous children have shared their unpleasant experiences of the learning environment under the administration of Principal Jeremy Martin. Reports include refusal of restroom use, teachers yelling at students itself are reflective of an unhealthy educational environment. Moreover, there have been instances of violated parental rights and misuse of authority by the school administration.

We believe in fostering an environment where each student can thrive, which is significantly influenced by the actions and conduct of school staff and administration. A troubling situation like this warrants immediate attention for the well-being of our children and their education. An effective resolution is the principal, Jeremy Martin, stepping down from his position.

As per the National Association of Secondary School Principals, principals are required to act as ethical leaders and adhere to the established professional standards. They are responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for all students. Regrettably, the current situation at Tidwell Middle School suggests otherwise.
