Demand the Resignation of Tan Sri Norza Zakaria and Datuk Haji Hamidin for Failing Malaysian Athletes

The Issue

We are champions without champions to lead us. Our sports industry, once renowned both domestically and globally, is on the brink of losing its credibility because of inadequate leadership. The heart of this issue beats in the offices of Tan Sri Norza Zakaria, President of BAM and MOM, and Datuk Haji Hamidin, President of FAM and Deputy President of MOM; they are the ones falling short in their duties. The consequent lack of resources and support for Malaysian athletes is detrimental. A notable instance which illustrates this issue was when our prodigious athlete, Goh Jin Wei flew to Paris without the support of her coach.

Their continuous failure to meet performance standards and targets is a testament to their inability to effectively manage and lead their respective teams. Moreover, their incapacity directly affects the training, performance, and morale of our athletes. As concerned sports enthusiasts, we can no longer sit on the sidelines watching our beloved athletes suffer unduly from this chronic leadership crisis.

We, therefore, urge the community to join forces with us in demanding for the resignation of Tan Sri Norza Zakaria and Datuk Haji Hamidin. They have had ample opportunities to rectify poor performance and leadership but to no avail. Now, it's time for our athletes to have leaders on their team who can foster growth and global competitive prowess.

Please, join us in this essential move towards better sports governance for a promising Malaysian sports future. Sign this petition to echo our demand.
