I am a concerned citizen of Clermont, FL, and I have witnessed the harmful repercussions of council member Michele Barnard Pines misusing her political power. Over time, Pines has shown a disturbing pattern of targeting and harassing citizens who disagree with her political stances, actions absolutely unbecoming of a public servant.

Miss Pines voted to increase taxes,  a disappointment  to her political party.  

More specifically, she's displayed a clear dereliction of fiduciary responsibilities, which undermines not only her position but also the trust we as citizens place in our elected officials. Her misuse of power and abuse of her political position within the Clermont City Council is a detriment to our democratic society and to the daily lives of people living here in Clermont, FL.

This is not a matter to be taken lightly. The implications of such abuse stretch beyond our immediate community, as it sets a dangerous precedent for other politicians, suggesting that it's acceptable to misuse power without facing any consequences.

For the sake of maintaining integrity in our local governance and creating a safe environment for citizens to voice their opinions without the fear of being targeted and harassed, it's crucial that Michele Barnard Pines be granted no more opportunity to use her position in a damaging manner.

And thus, we demand for her resignation from the Clermont City Council. We call upon the attention of fellow Clermont citizens, state representatives, and all those who stand for ethical governance. Stop the continued misuse of political power, uphold the democratic principles our town deserves and preserve the rights of every citizen to express their political views without fear.
