We, students of Columbia University School of General Studies, are demanding the resignation of the newly elected GSSC President, William Luo, after the revelation of his racist and antisemitic Instagram posts and messages.

"GSSC presidential candidate William Luo, GS ’28, apologizes for discriminatory behavior ahead of election results."

The timing of this revelation, mere hours before the polls closed, meant that many voters cast their votes without full transparency.  An election influenced by withheld vital information cannot be deemed fair or democratic
