Demand the Resignation of David Fauss

The Issue

Our church pastors and churches continue to be led by men who are not Biblically and/or organizationally qualified to serve as an overseer of people. It is time for these men to take responsibility for their actions.

If change does not start now, the circle of abuse will continue. This must end.

We, the undersigned members of the United Pentecostal Church International and other faith communities, urgently appeal to address a matter of utmost importance that directly impacts our churches, our communities,  our community's integrity and moral standing.

With heavy hearts and a shared sense of responsibility, we come together to petition for the immediate resignation of South TX UPCI District Superintendent David Fauss.

This leader's actions have caused many to lose faith in the leadership of the UPCI pastors and has left a stain on the organization's reputation.  His actions have brought immense pain and disillusionment to many faithful members, eroding the very essence of trust and belief in the sacred role of a pastor and leader.

The allegations against David Fauss encompass a myriad of ethical and moral violations that are entirely incompatible with our values as a Christian community. The evidence presented thus far about his marital counseling, the evidence surrounding his divorce and subsequent marriage to his secretary (and the spouse to the couple he was counseling) raises serious concerns about the legitimacy of his restoration into ministry. These matters are all of public record.

We firmly believe that a leader in David Fauss' position must uphold the highest standards of integrity, compassion, and honesty and be above reproach. Instead, his actions have caused harm to individuals and families, betraying the trust that was once placed in his spiritual guidance.

Furthermore, David Fauss' misleading case presented to the district board of the UPCI in Texas indicates an unwillingness to take responsibility for his actions and a blatant disregard for the well-being of the spiritual community and the rules that govern our pastors.

By signing this petition, we demonstrate our unwavering commitment to preserving the sanctity of the faith community and seeking a path toward healing. We implore the board of the UPCI South Texas District, David Bernard UPCI General Superintendent and the UPCI General Board to take immediate action in initiating and influencing the resignation process of David Fauss.

We understand that this decision may be difficult, but we firmly believe that it is the only course of action. It is essential that we take a stand against any form of misconduct within our religious organization and ensure that our leaders uphold the values they preach. Our faith community deserves a leader who embodies the principles of compassion, humility, and accountability, and we believe that a new chapter can be written with the departure of David Fauss.

Thank you for considering our petition. May we move forward together on a path of healing, accountability and reconciliation
