Demand the Resignation of Darrell Robertson, Superintendent of Edmonton Public Schools

The Issue

I write this petition with a heavy heart. We, the concerned community of Edmonton Public Schools, believe that our superintendent, Darrell Robertson, is faced with a severe qualification deficit. A leader should think first about the people he serves, not just their personal gains. However, that's not what we see in Mr. Robertson who is pocketing over $400,000 a year, while the support staff scrape by and our students bear the brunt of this imbalance. Our children deserve a fair chance at quality education and the staff deserves a respectable livelihood. These are aspects we believe our current superintendent is failing at. It is concerning to see the growing education disparities. According to Statistics Canada, the difference between the highest and lowest salaries in public schools has widened in recent years, further underscoring our point. To ensure the well-being of our future generations and those working tirelessly for them, let’s urge for a change at the helm. We ask those in power to take note and we ask you, the members of the public, to join our cause. Stand with us by signing this petition to demand Darrell Robertson resign as Superintendent of Edmonton Public Schools.
