I am deeply affected by a recent event that has shaken me and many others in our community. The case involving Officer  K-9 Smoke, which was dismissed by the Westmoreland county court system, is a matter of grave concern. This heartbreaking situation demands justice and a thorough re-investigation.

The conflict of interest between the involved handler, the Westmoreland county District attorneys, and the police investigating team raises serious questions about fairness and transparency in this case. It is crucial that an external authority steps in to ensure an unbiased investigation.

Moreover, it is essential to involve an experienced Humane Officer due to their expertise with animal laws. Their knowledge will be invaluable for understanding all aspects related to  Officer K-9 Smoke's case.

The dismissal of this case has left many unanswered questions and concerns among us residents of Derry/Westmoreland County. We believe that reopening this case will shed light on these issues and bring justice for Officer K-9 Smoke.
