We are residents of Clifton Forge, VA who have been subjected to unnecessary harassment and stalking by our local code enforcement officer. Despite complying with all his requests, he continues to stalk us behind our house, causing undue stress and anxiety.

This is not an isolated incident. Many other residents have experienced similar treatment from this officer. His actions are not only unprofessional but also infringe on our rights as citizens. This kind of behavior is unacceptable in any community.

Harassment by public officials is a serious issue that needs immediate attention. According to a study conducted by the National Institute of Justice, harassment by law enforcement officers can lead to decreased trust in public institutions and increased levels of fear among community members (NIJ 2019).
