I write this petition with frustration and disappointment at India's current financial trajectory, a concern shared by many across the nation. The recent budgets presented by our Finance Minister, Nirmala Sitharaman, have fallen significantly short of public expectations, leading to widespread dissatisfaction and insecurity.

As an ordinary citizen, I firmly believe that any other well-qualified individual would have crafted a more impressive, progressive, and beneficial budget. Sitharaman's proposed financial strategies clearly highlight her unsuitability for such a crucial role, as they lack foresight, creativity and fail to align with our collective aspirations for economic growth and prosperity.

India's GDP experienced a historic contraction by 7.3% in 2020-2021, the first time in four decades (source: Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation). These figures are indicative of a severe financial crisis that merits immediate intervention and require a Finance Minister capable of devising informed, effective, and innovative strategies to revitalize our economy.

In light of these facts, the objective of this petition is to call for the removal of Nirmala Sitharaman from the position of Finance Minister.
