Demand the Removal of Ms. Hashimoto from Granite Oaks Middle School

The Issue

I am a concerned student at Granite Oaks Middle School in Rocklin, California, USA. I believe that our science teacher, Ms. Hashimoto, is not fit for her role and is negatively impacting the learning environment and mental health of students.

Ms. Hashimoto consistently exhibits inappropriate behavior such as prohibiting students from using the restroom during class hours and yelling at students without cause. She also discourages curiosity by berating those who ask questions to further their understanding.

Furthermore, she has shown ableist tendencies by making fun of people with disabilities - an action that goes against the principles of inclusivity and respect we should uphold in our school community.

Her teaching methods are questionable as well; she gives tests on topics we haven't learned about yet then reprimands us when we fail. This approach not only hinders our academic progress but also causes unnecessary stress among students.

According to a study published in Journal of Youth and Adolescence, such negative experiences can lead to increased levels of anxiety and depression among middle schoolers (Journal of Youth & Adolescence).

It's clear that Ms. Hashimoto's actions are detrimental to both our education and mental health - this is unacceptable for someone whose job is supposed to nurture young minds.

We urge the administration at Granite Oaks Middle School to investigate these allegations thoroughly and take appropriate action which may include removing Ms.Hashimoto from her teaching position if found guilty.
