We, the concerned students and parents of Riverside, CA, are deeply troubled by the return of Mr. Mendoza to our school campus. His presence is not only uncomfortable but detrimental to our academic success and mental well-being.

Mr. Mendoza was previously on leave due grooming and sexual assault allegations. Now that he has returned, his class performance has taken a worrying turn for the worse - all his students are either barely passing or outright failing. This is not a trivial matter as his class is a requirement for graduation; if seniors cannot pass this course, they will be unable to graduate.

The grading method employed by Mr. Mendoza and the excessive amount of work he assigns have been cited as key factors behind this alarming trend in student performance decline since his return - an issue we did not face during his absence when everyone was passing.

We believe that every student deserves an environment conducive to learning – one free from fear and discomfort caused by individuals like Mr. Mendoza who have been charged with serious crimes against minors.

We call upon the school administration and district officials in Riverside, CA to take immediate action towards removing Mr. Mendoza from our campus permanently so that we can focus on what truly matters – our education and future success.
