As a deeply concerned citizen, I am distressed by the recent actions of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle that have, in my view, cheapened and ridiculed the British Monarchy. This institution has been a symbol of our national identity for centuries, representing continuity, tradition, and stability. However, I believe its dignity has been compromised due to the actions of these two individuals.

Prince Harry's decision to step back from his royal duties was unprecedented in modern times. His subsequent move to California with Meghan Markle further distanced him from his responsibilities as a member of the Royal Family. The couple's explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey on March 7th 2021 only served to deepen this divide.

I propose that we petition our government to demand that their titles - Duke and Duchess of Sussex - be removed forthwith. Furthermore, Prince Harry should be asked to denounce his title completely henceforth be referred to as Mr Harry Windsor.

This is not about personal animosity or an attack on their freedom; it is about preserving the integrity of an institution that means so much more than just its individual members. It is about ensuring that those who choose not to uphold their responsibilities do not continue benefiting from their privileges.
