Demand the Removal of District Attorney Jose Garza in Austin

The Issue

This petition stems from a deeply personal experience of the ongoing violent crime problem in Austin. As a resident, crime in our beautiful city has become a common and frightening element of everyday life. The orchestrator of this alarming increase is none other than District Attorney Jose Garza, whose policies have greatly contributed to the unpredictable and unsafe environment that we now find ourselves in. Garza has continuously exhibited a trend of releasing criminals, showing a refusal to prosecute violent offenders. These acts are not just alarming, but they are also seriously endangering the safety and peace we once enjoyed in Austin. For the sake of our city and our peace of mind, we demand that Jose Garza be removed from his position as District Attorney. We deserve leadership that makes our security and well-being a priority. We cannot wait any longer for change. Let us take action today and make Austin safe again.

Please follow @justicetracking on X to locate some of the heinous criminals District Attorney Jose Garza has released back into our community. Many have committed violent crimes only to be released due to the prosecutors office and their refusal to prosecute. Many others have been released on significantly reduced bonds, no bonds at all, or charges dropped after the DA's office missed deadlines.

We urge the residents of Travis County to sign this petition and review the attached examples of what our District Attorney has been up to lately.
