The Issue

I am raising this concern from a deeply personal place, born out of fear and shock from what has transpired. A tweet, lodged in malice and hatred, from an NHS employee Dr. Said Masih Noori, has raised severe concerns about his professionalism and care towards his Jewish patients. Featured in his tweet, were clear and discriminatory remarks, emphatically stating that given the power, he would "vanish every Jew".

Working for an esteemed body like the NHS, an individual with such bigoted views poses a mammoth danger to the unbiased care expected from health practitioners. After all, the NHS's very ethos lies in providing safe, comprehensive care for all. The safety and mental peace of its patrons are at stake here.

According to figures from the NHS itself, about 10% of the NHS workforce belongs to a BAME background, which includes practitioners of all ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds, just like Dr. Noori. A testament to the multicultural essence of the NHS, it is appalling that one of their medical practitioners should openly express such discriminatory views, shaking faith in their commitment towards equality.

This is not an appeal centered around one incident alone but it is about uprooting any potential bias and prejudice in an organization we trust with our lives. We, therefore, urge the NHS to immediately suspend Dr. Noori while a thorough and detailed investigation is carried out. It is high time that the NHS re-establishes faith in its commitment towards impartiality in care.

Sign this petition and demand justice. We must urge an end to racial discrimination, not just for Jews, but for all people. Whether it’s in the healthcare field or elsewhere, a safer and bias-free environment should be a non-negotiable standard for all. Let's ensure our voices are heard and raise our collective gavel against bigotry.
