Demand the media to demand justice for Pauline Pusser's unsolved murder

The Issue

For 36 years, I have meticulously followed the legend of "Walking Tall" McNairy County Sheriff Buford Pusser. With each layer I peeled back, it became unmistakably clear that Sheriff Pusser's heroic image is a mere facade. Contrary to the movies and books that glorified him, the real story reveals a troubling narrative that involves the tragic murder of his wife, Pauline Millins Pusser.

Pauline Pusser's life was tragically cut short, and the circumstances surrounding her death on that fateful day 58 years ago remain shrouded in mystery and deception. Evidence suggests that this was no mere ambush, as purported, but a heinous act at the hands of Sheriff Pusser himself. Reseachers and Cold Case Investigators uncovered facts that lead to the grim reality that Pauline was murdered by her husband, a fact that has been concealed by figures of authority, including then Representative Ray Blanton and District Attorney Will Terry Abernathy.

Despite the gravity of this case, the local and national media have remained disappointingly silent. This silence has only served to further entrench the injustice faced by Pauline and her family over five decades. It is time for this silence to be broken and for those responsible to be held accountable.

This brings us to a pivotal moment — the pressing need for Attorney Mark E Davidson, the Tennessee Bureau Of Investigation, and influential political figures such as Representative David Kustoff, Representative Ron M. Gant, Senators Page Walley, Bill Hagerty, Marsha Blackburn, and Governor Bill Lee, to convince District Attorney General Mark E. Davidson to publicly release the findings of the cold case investigation. The collective effort of local and national media is crucial in putting pressure on these offices to bring clarity and justice to a case that has been cold for too long.

58 years is entirely too long and Pauline, has elderly family members, including a sibling, who  want to know the truth about Pauline Mullins Pusser's murder, before they pass.

Pauline also has living granchildren,  great granchildren , and  great great granchildren whom want to the truth about Granmother Pauline Mullins Pusser's death.

The public absoultely has a right to know how writers, the media, Holywood, historians, The Pusser Family, the citys of Adamsville, and Selmer Tennessee, and the State of Tennessee took the word of one man, Sheriff  Pusser, and did little or no research to back up hos claims. They used the embellished and fictinal movie, Walking Tall, to create a local, state, United States, hero, and icon, for profit, and false noteriety.

By signing this petition, you are not only advocating for the release of investigation results but are also demanding transparency and accountability from those who seek to suppress the truth. Stand up for Pauline Pusser and help mend the historical injustices that have clouded McNairy County, the United States and the world for far too long.
