It's alleged by PBS News that Donald Trump privately urged Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu to reject a ceasefire deal. This violation must be critically examined and if proven true, Mr. Trump should be punished to the highest extent permitted under law.

In America's history, no person has ever been successfully prosecuted under the Logan Act. This does not mean we should ignore potential violations, particularly when they involve those who hold or have held the highest office. Upholding this act is not just about serving justice but maintaining the integrity of our democratic system, which rests on the premise that no one, not even a former president, is above the law.
