I am a concerned parent whose 23-year-old son was deployed to Niger, Africa in October last year. Like over 1,100 other American families, we live in constant fear for our loved ones' safety as they serve far away from home. The Biden Administration must act urgently to bring these troops back home.

The government of Niger has already advised the U.S. to withdraw its troops and leave their country. Yet, despite this clear request and the increasing threats on our soldiers' lives, our government has chosen to ignore their demands. Our children are now trapped in a foreign land with restricted airspace - no one leaves and no one enters until withdrawal negotiations are initiated by President Biden.

This situation has been ongoing for over a year now with no end in sight. The threats against our troops are not hypothetical; they are real and imminent if action is not taken swiftly.

We cannot afford any more delays or political maneuvering while our sons and daughters remain at risk every passing day they spend on foreign soil against the express wishes of that country's government.

We call upon President Biden and his administration to prioritize these negotiations immediately for the safe return of all American soldiers stationed in Niger.
