The Issue

We, the undersigned citizens of New York State and allies concerned with justice, transparency, and the wellbeing of vulnerable populations, call for the immediate resignation of Governor Kathy Hochul, and failing that, her impeachment, conviction, and removal from office by the New York State Legislature and Court of Appeals.

Governor Hochul’s administration has engaged in gross misconductcorruption and abuse of power including:

- Eliminating over 600 private CDPAP home care service businesses that assisted with essential home care services to over 250,000 New Yorkers — with no compensation, violating both state contracts and constitutional rights.

- Stripping vulnerable seniors and individuals with disabilities of life-sustaining support systems they relied on to live safely and independently at home. A federal district judge had to order her department of health on April 2, 2025 to ensure that no one loses services. She was okay with tens of thousands losing vital services.

- Awarding a $9 billion per year contract to a hand-picked, out-of-state monopolistwithout oversight from the State Comptroller and without competitive bidding—in what appears to be an act of corruption and abuse of power.

This is not leadership—it is a blatant violation of the public trust. The people of New York deserve a governor who upholds the Constitution, protects small businesses, and prioritizes the needs of our most vulnerable, not one who uses executive power to destroy lives and enrich political allies.

If Governor Hochul refuses to resign, we demand that the New York State Assembly immediately begin impeachment proceedings, and that the New York State Senate and Court of Appeals convict and remove her from office without delay.

Enough is enough. Resign or be removed.
