We the people of Troy New York have been prohibited from exercising our constitutional right to Freedom of Information and Freedom from Harassment. 

WHEREAS the mayor has used the city’s social media to spew targeted harassment against her own constituents and other members of local government;

WHEREAS the mayor’s office including the deputy mayor have leveled personal attacks against city residents, including by referring to Town Hall commentary as “disgusting”;

WHEREAS the mayor has blocked members of the public from accessing city information, including by “blocking” them on social media profiles such as Instagram and Facebook;

WHEREAS the administration has failed to provide city council with a timely and civil discourse in several matters, including by passing multiple contracts in a manner that prohibits debate;

WHEREAS the mayor has been convicted of offenses that threaten the public safety of the community;

for these reasons and more we, the residents of Troy New York, demand an immediate resignation by Troy Mayor Carmella Mantello.
