The Jewish community in Ontario is outraged with the fact that MPP Sarah Jama is allowed into our schools to further her hate-filled, ignorant, and misinformed narrative against Israel, which extends to antisemitism.

Make no mistake, anti-Zionism IS ANTISEMITISM.

Today, December 6th, she is walking out with students from Westdale High School riding in Hamilton Centre.

This is the same riding where McMaster University, a hotbed of antisemitic activity, is located, as well as 3 Jewish synagogues and 2 Jewish day schools.

Why did the Ministry of Education not enact laws that force our Board of School Trustees to put a halt to this hatred and harassment to stop this frightening situation?

The members of the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board are not answering emails nor taking any action; as a matter of fact, one of the trustees on the board is openly anti-Israel.

We should be teaching our kids historical facts, educating them with factual history, and not antisemitism and hate, just like the current principal from Norwood Park, Rhonda Moules.

When there was an incident in my son's school where a kid did a Nazi salute to my son, Miss Moules took immediate action calling the families and suspending the children who did that; in addition to that, she invited the Hamilton Jewish Association to come to school and educate students in grades 5 and 6 on the holocaust and antisemitism. Miss Moules is a stellar example of what children should be learning in school. 

This trend of antisemitism is growing across Ontario and the rest of Canada, and no action is taking place.

We urge the Ministry of Education and the Ford government to intervene and publicly condemn antisemitism and focus on antisemitism, not all other forms of racism, take IMMEDIATE action, and not allow our kids to be encouraged to ignorance and hate.
