Demand the DOE discipline Principal Amanda Bueno for violating DOE policy

Demand the DOE discipline Principal Amanda Bueno for violating DOE policy
The Issue
On Friday, May 21, 2021 the New York Post covered a story exposed by pro-Israel activist, attorney and candidate for New York City Council Inna Vernikov.
In the midst of Hamas's aggression against Israel, a Principal from a New York City public school MS 136, Amanda Bueno, sent an email to her entire staff asking them to participate in pro-Palestinian activism and to encourage their government officials to sanction the state of Israel. Ms. Vernikov then sent a letter to the DOE Chancellor Meisha Porter, after which the Chancellor implored the Principal to apologize.
The story made national and international news and the Principal apologized. This has also triggered an investigation by the Special Commissioner and findings are pending. The DOE has since made a statement reiterating that DOE employees are not allowed to utilize DOE resources to further a political agenda.
The Principal has since received support from teachers, parents and pro-Palestinian activists to the tune of 1800 signatures.
Let's double that number and send a loud message: there is no place for pushing your political agenda on DOE grounds, while using DOE resources no matter what your politics are!!!
We demand a proper investigation by the Special Commisioner and we ask that Principal Amanda Bueno be disciplined for violating DOE policy.
Please sign and share this petition widely to assure this never happens again!
