I am just one of many Californians who are concerned about Chuck Schumer’s next election- it affects us personally. As a 71-year-old, I rely on Medicare and social security for my wellbeing, and yet I work full time without any other insurance. My son, who is on the autism spectrum, depends on social security and Medicaid for his daily needs. Our lives are entwined with the decisions made by our representatives.

I am a therapist, I daily interact with veterans and active-duty personnel who are perturbed by the current state of affairs. My stepfather valiantly fought in World War II and Korea, my birth father survived World War II and the horrendous Bataan Death March. Their sacrifices should not be marred by imprudence in policy decision-making.

Therefore, it's important to tell the Democratic National Committee (DNC) that we will not support Chuck Schumer if they continue to support him during the next election. Schumer's views do not align with ours. We need a representative who will fight for social security, Medicare and Medicaid, the programs that we rely on, the programs that affect us all daily.

Let our voices be heard. Stand with us in this cause. Sign the petition to let the DNC know that we, Californians, want a representative who truly represents our views and needs.
